the artefact

As part of artefact we thought that it would be better if we film Christiania part, should be pre-recorded of her walking in the room and then placing her shopping down, and have Dama feed live of this, part, we found out that we could export out of export in black and white it would have to RGB.

The scene was scripted

Let's Tango

I watched the film ‘Tango’ by De Zbigniew Rybczynski. I thought this was a very clever and interesting piece of work. The film showed numerous clips on the screen simultaneously, each with their own interacting scenes. I watched the film more than once to see whether I could remember all the characters that appeared from start to finish, and to see if I could keep track of them throughout each clip. I found that it was almost impossible because all the character are interacting all at the same time, in the same space, oblivious to one another and to what else was going on around them. The loops are timed so well that there is always a new character that walks into the room to distract you. Furthermore, the sound tracks were all timed to perfection. I loved the way that this piece of work had been put together, it was very inspirational. Take a look at the video.

Nowa ksiazka (New Book)

From what I have experienced watching De Zbigniew Rybczynski’s ‘Tango’, I wanted to take a look at more of his work. I found that there was so much more of his work to be inspired from. One in particular is ‘Nowa ksiazka’ (New Book) 1975. The film is split in to nine screens, and there is something different happening in each one. The characters in the film go into one screen and out into another, but you don’t know where they are going until they appear in of the other screens. The sound track to the film is deliberately bad to the point that it almost sounds good in relation to the footage shown (if that makes sense). I found the narrative and the way it was looped extremely clever.

Interactivity in eyes web

The whole idea of be interactive with someone who is not the same place as you is very weird but is very possible to complete , we use to film with a blue screen, like in forest Gump when he meet a died president, in the making of it shows that that they are using two different footage. This could have easy being created in eyes web which would allow you to feed from more than one live footage and old footage. By knowing that information the group then decide to create the cyberspace in gray scale, it would give it a more cyberspace that unique push.

Clip of the making of Frost Gump Example coming soon
